Following the tree survey last year, the Parish Council have contracted Town and Country Trees Ltd to carry out the works listed on the report.
On the Village Green this has included:
- cutting back from the overhead services
- cutting back from the road
- crown reduction
- removing dead wood
- removing branches for safety reasons
- removing regenerative growth from bases
- removing a cherry plum near the Fox – the Council will be replacing this tree
On the playing field dead wood and an unsafe branch has been removed.
At the Buttermilk Junction a tree has been cut back from the road.
In the future, further tree works will be taking place in the churchyard, including:
- removing dead wood and trees
- removing regenerative growth from bases
- removing damaged branches
- raising crowns over the road
- cutting back from the overhead services and powerlines
- cutting back from the road
