West Oxfordshire District Council is currently consulting on the Preferred Policy Options for its new Local Plan 2041. This is a crucial stage in shaping the plan that will guide development in the district up to 2041.
We’re inviting residents, community groups, businesses and stakeholders to have their say on the proposed vision, updated objectives and preferred policy approaches. This consultation runs from 26 June to 8 August 2025.
- The current consultation sets out the Preferred Policy Options, including a vision, updated objectives, and draft policies for housing, climate, transport, economy, nature recovery, and infrastructure.
- This is not yet the draft Local Plan, and it does not propose any new development sites.
- A separate consultation on specific sites and spatial strategy will follow later in 2025.
- The aim is to create a stronger, more ambitious plan that meets local needs and responds to the challenges of affordability, climate change, and infrastructure delivery.
