OCC 20 mph consultation for Leafield

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LEAFIELD PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order
under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order – in support of road safety issues – is to introduce a 20mph
speed limit throughout Leafield replacing the majority of the existing 30mph speed
limit in the process, leading out of the village to the following points:

1. Buttermilk Lane – a point 47 metres south-west of Witney Road,
2. Fairspear Road – a point 278 metres north-west of Chapel Close,
3. Hatching Lane – a point 98 metres north of Lower End,
4. Lower End/Leafield Road – a point 152 metres east of Greenwich Lane,
5. The Ridings – a point 175 metres southwest of The Greens.

A 465 metre section of the existing 30mph speed limit will remain on The Ridings
leading south-westwards out of the village, with Officers having taken the current
road environment & traffic usage into account.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Leafield Parish) (Restricted Roads) Order 2001 will
be revoked/replaced as necessary.
